Hello! My name is Brenna Labriola; I am from Puyallup, Washington and have lived in this state my entire life. I’m a senior at Washington State University majoring in Strategic Communications with a specific interest in Public Relations and possibly getting a minor in Hospitality Business Management. I am the Project Manager and Brand Ambassador of Blush Boutique and I’m really excited to learn how present and develop a business through an online appearance, including how to effectively promote the business through social media outlets. I’m excited to see how this mock company will prepare me for real world application. In the future I aspire to work for any company or organization that primarily focuses on event work and event promotion planning. I’m open to working for any type of company or organization to get experience when I start out, and hopefully in the future I can gear my career towards something more travel heavy. After experiencing life abroad it has opened my eyes to spreading my work further than the boarders of the U.S. As a member of this team my main goals are to put my organizational and moderating skills to good use. I love working as part of a team and I’m excited to see how we develop along with our brand. One quote that inspires me is from a novelist by the name Paulo Coelho; “Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself”. This quote has just always spoken to me and I think it can be a valuable life lesson. People are often so afraid to do things and take chances in life, or even just have trouble dealing with everyday life and stressors. Most of the time the things we are scared of are just in our head and we overreact in anticipation of things, then when we finally arrive to and get through the situation we realize it was not as bad as it seems. I think overcoming personal strife or challenges is huge for success in life and just changing your mindset to believe you are more than your biggest fears is very powerful.

Serrena Farzana
Hello! My name is Serrena Farzana and I was born and raised in Spokane Washington. I currently attend Washington State University and am obtaining my degree in communication with a focus in public relations and a minor in business. Within my team, my role is the user experience manager, meaning I work with web, social media, and analytics. What I hope to gain through this process is a better understanding of what it takes to launch and make a business successful. Through this I have begun to see all the aspects of marketing your brand through public relations. This process has also pushed me to be more creative and imaginative and focus on typically forgotten details. Career wise I don't have everything completely figured out, I know I would love to do PR for a large business possibly a clothing company or something in fashion. I want to be able to explore and travel with what ever long term job I obtain. I believe some of my best personal and professional qualities are my abilities to work with and understand all different types of people.
Nancy Hurtado
Hello! I’m Nancy Hurtado and I attend Washington State University in Pullman. I was raised on the west side in Washington near Seattle. I am a studying strategic communication with an emphasis in public relations. I am minoring in Spanish as welI. I am the creative director for Blush Boutique. I am extremely excited about all of the parts with this company. I absolutely love the social media aspect of it and creating content for our social medias and this website! I truly enjoy showing our customers what is new for our boutique and what new products and content. I am excited to learn more about design in this class, when it comes to social media and the web. I also just think it’s going to be helpful because this class is so hands on and you legitimately are creating all of this for a company. I aspire to work with social media and event planning in the future with a fashion company would be ideal. I have been PR for my sorority so I know how to promote a little bit and I also know how to plan events and do some campaigns. I would love to expand my knowledge with campaigns. I have created PR events to promote my Chapter. I have also done a promotional video to try and get a broader audience. I realized many people enjoy video and just clicking on something rather than reading so it was a big hit. One of my favorite quotes of all time is, “When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully. When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light. When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it. When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway. When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back. When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some. When you're feeling tired, dare to keep going. When times are tough, dare to be tougher. When love hurts you, dare to love again. When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal. When another is lost, dare to help them find the way. When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand. When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile. When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too. When the day has ended, dare to feel as you've done your best. - Steve Maraboli
